The feasibility study proposes to revitalise a neglected garden. Re-introducing it to the wider public will also generate the funds for the historic ensemble to flourish again.
We advised against the initial proposal of totally changing its character into a public park. Instead we suggested an approach that works with the existing apple orchard. The result would be a garden much in the spirit of the ‘agricultural’ parks that so much enrich the city of Prague for example.
We find this typology of public space to be representative of Central and Eastern Europe urban environment.
