The basement extension and front of house remodel is the first phase of a larger Conservation Area Planning Consent, where the ground floor will be eventually extended to the rear. Crittall screens were used to maximise natural light whilst complying with fire safety requirements. The design proposal succeeds in opening up the ground and lower ground floors for a modern lifestyle, whilst minimally interfering with the original building fabric.
